Dato’ Ir. Dr. Dennis Ganendra obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Engineering from Cambridge University in 1987, where he was a recipient of the prestigious Open Entrance Scholarship from Cambridge University and the Queen’s Jubilee scholarship from the Institute of Civil Engineers (U K).  After a short working spell in Malaysia, Dato’ Ir. Dr. Dennis continued to pursue his Master of Science degree in soil mechanics at Imperial College, United Kingdom, where he graduated with Distinction.  He then joined Imperial College as a research assistant and completed his doctorate in 1994.  Dato’ Ir. Dr. Dennis has published and presented papers in international journals and at various conferences.

He has been the Project Director for a large number of prestigious projects in Malaysia and internationally specialising in various areas of engineering, including highways, ports, airports, railways, power plants, petro-chemical plants, industrial plants, high rise buildings, water treatment plants and sewerage treatment plants.  Dato’ Ir. Dr.  Dennis is currently working relentlessly to establish Minconsult Sdn Bhd as a major engineering force in the international arena, having secured projects in Afghanistan, Antigua, Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Canada, China, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam and USA. 

Dato’ Ir. Dr. Dennis is also the Chairman of Ground Data Solutions Sdn Bhd and Lidar Services International Inc. of Canada.  Both companies are involved in the state-of-the-art Airborne Laser Survey Services, using high-tech Digital Video Geographic (DVG)systems. These companies have successfully undertaken projects in Asia, Europe and North America.  

Dato’ Ir. Dr. Dennis is a member of Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM), Chartered Professional Engineer of The Institution of Engineers Australia (MIEAust CPEng.), The Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australiasia (REAAA) and Fellow of The Institution of Highway and Transportation, UK. He is also a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).

Dato’ Ir. Dr. Dennis Ganendra has previously served as the Honorary Secretary General of The Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australasia (REAAA).  He has also served with the Board of Directors and as an Audit Committee Member of the Construction Industry Development Board of Malaysia (CIDB) between 2000 and 2006, the Board of the Asian Institute of Medicine, Science and Technology (AIMST) and the Board of Trustees of the Construction Research Institute of Malaysia (CREAM).
